Lane 05:32
Lane Oh baby Didn't do it right Didn't do it right In the wide-eyed daylight Gotta learn how to fight Sun coming up Summer’s almost here But a crooked sunrise Will draw winter near Gotta learn how to fear There it came at the foot the lane Like a hurricane And I'm down on the floor once again Cut through Where no one knows Lawlessness Where anything goes Share with you From an older time All the suffering, baby There's plenty to find Take a piece of mine There it came at the foot the lane Like a hurricane And I'm down on the floor once again Winter sunrise everyday And the summers gone And you push it away Breathe that winter everyday Let the summer stay At the foot of the lane

Twos 04:13
Twos No change for the phonebox So I called I called round yours No-one home No home where my home is Where'm'a'goin' To the place I remember The place I know I went on down to find the friends I left today I went on down to find my friends had gone away But I'm here to stay Got a list in my pocket From '99 Forty Marlboro 100's Twos a five White storm in the evening Flying high Fill up down at Jim’s place Take a slice I went on down to find the friends I left today I went on down to find my friends had gone away But I'm here to stay I heard, heard you laughing Yesterday My cold magnum ego Melts away

Drifter 04:16
Drifter Living in a tent Very little rent my friend Why don't you come inside? Take a little bite Take a little strawberry Getting lost in your mind Field expanding wide Feeling your expanding mind Drifting off on the tide Living in a tent Drifting down the Trent Drifting on Drifting on I'm the Drifter Living in a tent Such a perfect gentleman Ever expanding bag You don't have to pay For your medication boys Free for all Free your mind All across the nation Living by the station now Maybe that bag is blue Living in a tent Drifting down the Trent Drifting on Drifting on Like the Drifter Living in a tent In my element Not too small Climb inside Listen to my song Listen to my wrong doings Flying on Never end Paranoic thoughts Have you any demons, boys? Never drift with the tide Living in a tent Drifting down the Trent my friend Like the Drifter

Waterfalls of naked figures Ancient predictions that the East are on their way Sucking on swan through a little red straw We paid for an eighth but we got point four So many mice they were stinking of piss You boys have gotta go coz I'm watching this Pulling up plastic out of this lump Whoofing up lungs in a rancid dump Kneel Kneel Pullusalung Kneel Pullusalung

Knife 05:43
Now we cross the border The bond between us grows Up to Caledonia boys The doors behind us close The mist is on the treetops The frost is on the leaves The pipers do be calling out Calling Calling me Looking for something in the cold and shattered dawn Someday you will know Driving the hills above as the freezing river burns Maybe we should go Why don’t you listen to the music like you should? Someday you will know All that I wanted was to drag you from the mud Maybe you should go Now it's time to push the boundary Push it till you break Time to hit the big leagues, boys The chance is yours to take What are you made of Are you made of what I thought? You said you were a showman You won’t show me Looking for something in the cold and shattered dawn Someday you will know Driving the hills above as the freezing river burns Maybe we should go Why don’t you listen to the music like you should? Someday you will know All that I wanted was to drag you from the mud Maybe you should go Listen to the music Listen to the words Listen in the right way For the wrong way is a long way From a song where you'll be heard Listen to the music Listen to the words Listen in the right way Someday you will know Someday you will know Someday you will know

House 03:36
House Gregory Dorey was like a gun without a barrel Every now and then we would talk like we were friends One day I flipped him a little bird like buddies do And that was one Little overstep I lived to regret Whoa oh oh oh Jeremy Howzer had a house around the corner When he was walking he would spit upon the floor Every morning we would walk the long way round And he spat again And I counted them To a hundred and four Whoa oh oh oh How it all goes down We'll never know How it all goes down We'll never know Davvy Balory had a bell to ring his mother Never could work out where he learnt the things he'd do Throwing his cat up into the air to see it land But the way he'd treat A puppy dog I wish I never knew Whoa oh oh oh How it all goes down We'll never know How it all goes down We'll never know MASSIVE HASSLE

Drink 02:46
Drink Oh, give it a go Never say no Gotta go with the flow Oh, give it a go Never say no Starting to feel the glow Oh, gimme the drink Gone in a blink Setting it up to sink Oh, gimme the drink Gone in a blink Whaddaya really think? Oh, give me the key Whaddaya see? Nothing but me and thee Oh, give me the key Whaddaya see? All that I see is me Oh, are you with me or not? Gimme me the lot Starting to lose the plot Oh, are you with me or not? Gimme me the lot Everything you got Oh, never come down See me around Spinning around the town Oh, never come down Oh, never come down Oh, never come down Oh, never come down

Fibber 07:11
Fibber I told you what you wanted I twisted it to fit your dreams I made myself a hero I conjured all the scenes Together we are mighty Together we are strong Forever we will show them I am right and they are wrong With the yarn that I spun Oh, I thought I had won Your heart But the web is undone And the world has begun To fall apart You'd hold me and led me to believe You told me you want to be deceived Go tell them what you want to You'll only make it worse Now you're on your own and I'm your universe With the yarn that I spun Oh, I thought I had won Your heart But the web is undone And the world has begun To fall apart With the yarn that I spun Oh, I thought I had won Your heart But the web is undone And the world has begun To fall apart

about

What the curious listener may find herein is a series of musical and lyrical vignettes from two brothers’ early exploration into the land of the outside world, and their encounters with a pantheon of characters from around '84 to '99 in small town Nottingham, England. Taking heed from the pioneers of rock, blues, jazz and everything else from before their time, the boys mounted this musical steed with several tenets to behold: Everything is to be recorded live and filmed in singular takes; All songs and lyrics are to be written collaboratively in the studio; Both brothers will sing in harmony or unison throughout; Every track will be released as a live video; Don’t let it become a MASSIVE HASSLE. The results are entombed upon the disc within for eternity, or until you need to purchase a replacement - shipping worldwide directly from MASSIVEHASSLE.TV
